My First Refinish Project

Ah, finally putting my ideas to work. I got this chair at a local thrift store for just $6. It has nice lines and is pretty sturdy, but ick! It was ugly! Chippy gross finish, non-existent pad under a vinyl type nasty seat.

I also found a bunch of fabric scraps at a different thrift store for between 25 cents and $1.50 per piece, some of the pieces were really big! Gorgeous fabric too, after some research I found out it's called "Arboretum Cloud" by P Kaufmann, and retails over $30 a yard! Score!

At the same store I picked up a seat pad, planning to gut it for its foam

This is where my photo taking lapses. I was too excited to get this done! Using an online tutorial (this is an easy one and can be found easily), I re-covered the seat and painted the chair! With spray paint, no less!

I like the spray paint FAQ's on Centsational Girl's website. She's awesome! I used Rustoleum's "Heirloom White" for this chair.

 So much better!
